A COLOSSAL WEEKEND 2026
A COLOSSAL WEEKEND is an annual celebration of genre-defying, boundary-pushing, and experimental music within the “heavy” genre.
We seek new ways to explore what heavy music can achieve, how it can be understood, and how it can be defined.
Our ambition is to create and maintain spaces where artists and fans can discover themselves in different contexts and collaborations, and establish new relationships and connections.
The three-day festival takes place in and around VEGA in Vesterbro, Copenhagen, Denmark.
A COLOSSAL WEEKEND was first held in 2016 and has, over the years, presented legends, pioneers, and debutants.
A COLOSSAL WEEKEND is about community, cohesion, and low-end.
A COLOSSAL WEEKEND is run by VEGA and is 100% independent and 100% non-profit. VEGA is operated by a foundation, meaning that any surplus is reinvested into music. Popular concerts help finance our work with emerging artists and all our other live music development initiatives, including A COLOSSAL WEEKEND.
VEGA and A COLOSSAL WEEKEND operate under a zero-tolerance policy. We do not accept discrimination based on gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation, nor do we accept violent behavior or verbal harassment. Please contact our staff if you witness or experience any such behavior.
