Natten til mandag dansk tid blev 2024s Grammy Awards uddelt, ledt an af årets vært, komiker Trevor Noah, som du kan opleve i KB Hallen, når han kommer til Danmark med sin 'Off the record'-tour. Selvom der var enkelte nye, spændende navne blandt de nominerede, var det dog i udpræget grad den gamle garde og no-suprises-here, der løb med de eftertragtede awards. Sjoveste øjeblik var, da Miley Cyrus optrådte med megahittet ’Flowers’, og tydeligvis ikke var helt tilfreds med publikums energi. 'Why are you acting like you don't know this song?' råbte hun ud til crowdet midt i sin optræden.
Derudover var selve Grammyuddelingen selvfølgelig aftenens største begivenhed. Endnu engang vandt Taylor Swift Grammyen for Album of The Year. Hun er således den første artist nogensinde, der har vundet den Grammy fire gange. Måske sigter hun allerede efter en femte, for samme aften annoncerede hun, at hun udgiver et nyt album d. 19. april. På alle måder en god aften at være swiftie på!
En anden, der havde en god aften, var den amazoneklædte Miley Cyrus, der vandt to ud af de seks Grammys, hun var nomineret til (Best Record of The Year og Best Pop Solo Performance – begge for ’Flowers’). Miley Cyrus har været nomineret før, men aldrig vundet, og Best Pop Solo Performance blev altså hendes allerførste Grammy nogensinde.
Hos Billetlugen har vi et soft spot for boygenius, efter de leverede en fuldstændig outstanding koncert i KB Hallen i sommers, og det kan derfor kun glæde et musikhjerte, at de tre geniale damer også blev hædret ved nattens uddeling: 6 nomineringer blev det til, hvoraf de vandt tre, Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song for ’Not Strong Enough’ og Best Alternative Music Album. Velfortjent.
Desuden skal endnu en dobbelt Grammy-vinder fra i nat fremhæves. Han trækker nok ikke de store overskrifter i dagbladene, men for kendere er det her virkelig ikke til at få armene ned over! Den elektroniske troldmand Fred Again.. vandt i nat to Grammys – Best Dance/Electronic Recording og Best Dance/Electronic Music Album. Fred Again.. rider lige nu på en bølge af succes, og heldigvis kommer han i år til Danmark, hvor han skal spille på Syd For Solen om torsdagen. One can be lucky!
