Genre challenging and highly original music will be the theme of the evening, when Narcosatanicos along with Ærkebrand and Værket, some of the finest underground acts in the Danish music scene, perform at Jazzhouse.
The sextet Narcosatanicos was formed in 2011, and has since then been one of the most promising and interesting acts in the undergrounds scene with their fusion of wild free jazz, doom metal and atmospheric psychedelic rock. The hype of their music has led them to play at Roskilde Festival and Spot Festival, and their second album ‘Body Cults’ is underway.
On their newest album, Narcosatanicos will present the listener to screaming saxophones, massive guitar distortion, booming drums and choking scream vocals. One of the band’s strengths is their ability to embrace a spacious and beautiful sound universe and evolve it to cacophonic waves.
When they perform live, the band is known for its stroboscopic visuals that tend to be the center of attention alongside the music, only to leave the crowd spell-bound to Narcosatanicos’ hypnotic and terrifying universe.
Spines is a bombastic post-punk band from Copenhagen and widely known in the underground music scene due to their captivating performances. Their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Lymph Nodes’ was released in October 2016.
Værket’s music has been described as Jethro Tull on amphetamine. The sextet is known for giving highly technical performances that indulge the listener in the band’s 70’s inspired progressive rock.
